Admissions Process

Is Addiction Impacting Your Life?

Take The First Step To True Healing Today!

Making the Call

Our Intake Coordinators are empathetic and professional. We appreciate how hard it is to make that call, and we promise, you will be met with a friendly and helpful voice. We will then gather some basic information about your current situation and discuss with you how the treatment program at Sabino Recovery works. Any information you share with us is completely confidential and is only used to help you and us decide if Sabino is right for you.

Are We a Good Match?

The main priority during the initial phone call is to make sure you get the information you need and to determine if our services and your needs are a good match. Many of us have been in your shoes at some point and we are here to help you decide.

Schedule Assessment Appointment

Next, a phone meeting is scheduled at a convenient time for you to meet with our admissions staff. During this appointment, we will review your medical, addiction, and trauma history which will be presented to the medical and clinical team for approval. It is not our mission to blindly admit every caller. We seek to help those who are struggling to find the help they need – even if that help is more appropriately found elsewhere.

Finances – Working With Your Health Insurance

Sabino Recovery is a private pay facility, by design, so that we can offer the highest level of care possible without the limitations and parameters that may be levied by an insurer. We believe our individualized treatment plans promote successful ongoing recovery, and difficult psychological conditions cannot be addressed within the boundaries sometimes dictated by insurers. However, we can work with some of the major healthcare carriers as an out-of-network provider to apply a discount to the total cost of treatment.

Our Intake Coordinators will work diligently to make arrangements that fit your financial situation. Our primary goal is to help you or your loved one find peace, health, and lasting recovery.

Everyone at Sabino Recovery respects your courage as you take this huge step on your path to recovery. We’ll be with you through every step – including the financial process.

We do not accept Medicaid, Medicare, Tricare or AHCCSS. Payments can be made by cashier’s check, wire transfer, or credit card with a nominal fee.

Our Campus

Indoor and outdoor common areas provide an opportunity to get to know other residents on your own time and at your own speed in an intimate, safe, and welcoming atmosphere.

Our Internet café provides a gathering place for residents to relax and connect while playing cards, working a puzzle, or watching a movie. Internet access and phones allow residents to stay connected to friends and loved ones.

The beauty of the desert is boundless. Nature walks and hikes, especially at sunset, can be an exhilarating way to wrap up the day. Walking through the labyrinth brings meditative grounding to our residents. Evening fires in the massive outdoor fireplace are a perfect spot for evening meetings.

Our onsite equestrian center provides opportunities for our residents not only to experience equine therapy but also allows our residents to provide grooming and care as well as simply just spending time in the company of these majestic and therapeutic animals.

Recreational facilities, including our pool (open seasonally) and fitness facility, are available to our residents who would like to exercise or maybe just unwind.

Your Stay – Safety, Serenity & Simplicity

Along with our loving, kind, staff who work as a team to customize your treatment plan, we offer something you cannot put a price tag on: we are situated on 140 acres of breath-taking beauty in Tucson Arizona at the base of the Catalina Mountains. The desert landscape is relaxing, peaceful, and calming to the spirit. The skies are magnificent and we have sunshine 286 days a year.

If you have been working hard trying to control your addiction or keep your trauma at bay, this is a safe place to work on your issues. As you walk along the desert path to the horse corral in the morning for horse care or hiking the trails on the weekend, you begin to dream of a cleaner, simpler, better life for you and your loved ones. With our expert team, we will work on your treatment plan and help you find the resources to make that a new life a possibility.

Accommodations – Private Rooms Available

Our newly renovated rooms are modern, spacious and well appointed. Walk-in showers are equipped with the latest rain showerheads, and each room is climate controlled for your comfort. Large windows afford picturesque views of the surrounding desert and mountains. Tastefully decorated in a southwest motif, each private room is a peaceful sanctuary. Particular attention has been paid to the quality and comfort of the beds and bedding to ensure restful and rejuvenating sleep.

Cuisine

What we feed our bodies, feeds our soul. When we enter the world, one of the first truths we experience is the nourishment and comfort of food. It is also one of the first ways in which we experience being cared for and loved by another. With that in mind, Chef Robert Ramos creates healthy, satisfying comfort food from scratch using only fresh ingredients. He and his team take pride in the important part they play in each resident’s recovery.

In recovery, nutrition is important. Those suffering from the effects of trauma and addiction often suffer from poor nutrition by either not eating enough throughout the day or by eating foods that are low in nutrients. Unhealthy eating can exacerbate the symptoms of depression, anxiety, and healthy sleep, all of which can also put one at risk of continued substance abuse.

By eating well, our residents restore their physical and mental health and improve their chance of recovery.

We understand that many residents may have dietary restrictions and preferences that are important to them. Chef Ramos uses a team approach to work with residents, our Dietician, and medical team to accommodate these special requests whenever possible.

We know it’s hard to take the first step on the path to recovery. If you’d like to talk with someone right away, please give us a call or send us your contact information and we will be in touch with you shortly. However, if you or a loved one are currently in crisis or need immediate medical attention, please do not wait for a response to this email, call 9-1-1 immediately.
