Contributing Author

Born in Germany and now residing in the Southern United States, Robert Rynfield brings a unique international perspective to his role as an author at Sabino, where he contributes to developing content on mental health and addiction treatment. His interest in addiction was sparked by personal observations of its devastating effects on a family member, fueling his commitment to advancing understanding and treatment in this field.

Although primarily known for his research and published works, Robert’s approach blends his background as a mental health advocate and nutrition therapist with a keen focus on the complexities of mental health and addiction. His work at Sabino involves distilling cutting-edge research into accessible and impactful content that supports the center’s trauma-focused treatment philosophy.

Before moving to the US and becoming “semi-retired”, Robert was a prominent speaker at various conferences across Europe, advocating for the link between nutrition and mental health. As the Managing Director at the Journal of the American Center for Nutrition (JACN), he continues his contributions on these topics, with his primary focus remaining on his research and writing. This work not only reflects his academic rigor but also his deep personal connection to the subjects in which he has devoted his professional life.

Robert’s commitment to mental health advocacy and his thorough research practices make his contributions invaluable to Sabino’s mission of addressing mental health and addiction recovery. His writings help illuminate the path for those seeking to understand and overcome the challenges of addiction and trauma.
